A-Levels (Key Stage 5)

In Year 12, pupils may wish to progress on to AS and A Levels. AS levels generally take one year to complete and A levels are studied across two years.

Typically, pupils progress to AS and A levels in the academic year following their iGCSE results. Our KS5 curriculum aims to give pupils the chance to develop intellectually as they explore their chosen subjects in greater depth.

At this level of learning, we are proud to be able to offer small class sizes to promote the opportunity for more personalised learning.

All subjects are taught at three hours per week, with a large emphasis on independent study out with the classroom studies. All lessons are recorded, and this can prove highly beneficial as a bank of resources for consolidation or clarity.

We use the Pearson Edexcel Exam Board.

The cost of tuition includes live virtual classroom teaching, all coursework set and marked, termly assessments, termly progress reports and access to online clubs and support groups.

Age: 16 to 18     Class size: 20 max

If you are enrolling your child in 3 or more A-Level subjects, there is a 15% discount on tuition fees.

All our lessons are taught based on the English National Curriculum and we aim to prepare all students for A-Levels.

Group 1 – A-Level Subjects

Group 1 subjects are offered in the UK and internationally and are marked based on the exams alone, just like iGCSEs, and usually at the same centres. These are A-Level Qualifications.

Group 2 – A-Level Subjects

Group 2 subjects are offered in the UK only and involve additional assessment through UK exam centres earlier in the year, potentially at an extra cost – please contact exam centres and consider your ability to get to those centres before undertaking these subjects. These are A-Level Qualifications.

Group 3 – A-Level Subjects

Group 3 are only offered internationally but are marked based on the exams alone, just like iGCSEs, but these cannot be completed within the UK. These are International A-Level Qualifications (IALs).
