Free careers advice sessions

Notice: the Careers Advice sessions are currently being updated, and will resume in due course.

Our career advice service is open to all pupils in Years 8 to 11. The sessions run every two weeks on a Thursday at 3pm by our career advisor, Luc Desmeules. Luc has a Masters in Career Development Coaching from the University of Warwick and is experienced in delivering career advice to young people.

The fortnightly sessions will aim to cover some of the following:

  • Industry specific career information
  • Choosing iGCSE or A Level subjects
  • University and college applications
  • How to write a C.V. and cover letter
  • How to write a personal statement
  • How to find jobs
  • Apprenticeships
  • Interview skills
  • Q and A sessions with career experts

This service is free for all pupils that are currently enrolled in Year 8 to 11 classes.

One-to-one support

In addition to the fortnightly sessions, pupils will also have the opportunity to arrange one-to-one sessions with Luc to discuss their future career path and to seek professional advice from him.  If you would like to purchase some one-to-one sessions, please complete the form below. You will then be able to contact Luc through the Unified Classroom to organise a time that is convenient for you.
