Providing support

Online Counselling

We know that young people sometimes experience difficult times in their life. Whatever the cause, these can have lasting effects on their happiness and emotional wellbeing.

At My Online Schooling we recognise the importance of the ‘whole child’ in education. So we work hard to ensure that all our pupils feel valued and have a sense of achievement in everything they do. Our counselling service lets pupils talk to someone outside of their school or home life about how they feel, providing support designed to help them enjoy life and feel happy.

What is young people’s
online counselling?

Young people’s counselling is for any child who’s having problems. Whether it’s depression and mental health concerns or social or emotional issues, talking to a counsellor can help.

There is no right or wrong reason for thinking about counselling. Sometimes, it’s just good to talk to someone. And sometimes, they might need more guidance.

A counsellor can offer expert help in managing a wide range of issues, including common problems facing young people:

  • Bullying
  • Learning difficulties
  • Behavioural problems
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Bereavement/loss
  • Attachment disorder
  • Separation anxiety

Our Online

Counselling Service

We offer hour-long sessions with one of our experienced child counsellors. These are delivered using the same virtual classroom technology we use for our lessons, so your child will be able to speak directly to the counsellor from the security of their home. Everything said in the session is completely confidential, unless the counsellor is worried about the child’s safety.

The process begins with a free 30-minute session, to allow your child to get to know the counsellor and to talk about their needs. From there, each session costs £35.

If you’re interested in organising counselling, please complete the referral form and one of our team will be in touch with you straight away. We will treat any information you give us with absolute confidentiality.
