My Online Schooling are excited to introduce our new Parent Liaison service, which we’ll be offering from the beginning of Term 2 this academic year. The service is designed to provide our enrolled families with even better, more individualised day-to-day support throughout your child’s schooling with us. But enough from me… For this week’s blog, we’re handing things over to our new Parent Liaisons, Emma and Callum, who are here to tell you more about what they’ll be offering by answering those all-important initial questions.
What is a Parent Liaison?
Your Parent Liaison (PL) will be your main point of contact at MOS. We’ll handle the majority of your questions and correspond with our teams to ensure that any enquiries you may have are handled in the best possible way.
Why is the Parent Liaison service being introduced?
We’re introducing the PLs to make your experience at MOS as easy as possible. It’s designed to help us strengthen our relationships with parents and provide you with more one-to-one communication and support. Instead of needing to get in touch with multiple teams, you’ll now have a dedicated person you can speak to throughout your child’s time with us.
What kinds of enquiries do the PLs handle?
We’ll be handling all kinds of enquiries that come up once your child is enrolled with us. We are here to answer any questions that you may have – no question is too big or small! We’ll be working closely with our Education Team and Health and Wellbeing Manager to provide you with the best support possible. Day-to-day, however, our main duties will revolve around handling things like payments, technical enquiries and subject changes.
Will parents need to contact the Admin Team for anything going forward?
Once you’ve been allocated your PL, you’ll no longer need to communicate much with the Admin Team. Admin will still process things such as absence forms, but any communication will now go primarily via your PL. However, you’ll still receive more general emails from Admin regarding important school updates, newsletters, etc.
Can parents still get in touch with teachers?
Absolutely! We’d always recommend that parents/carers contact teachers directly if they have any enquiries about lessons, class content or assignments. You or your child can contact teachers directly through your Parent Portal or Unified Classroom accounts.
Will parents’ allocated advisor always stay the same?
Yes, your designated PL will remain the same throughout your time at My Online Schooling. In the event that your PL is unavailable to speak to, our team will be available to support you. We will provide contact details in this instance.
When will parents be assigned their PL?
You’ll be assigned your PL by the beginning of Term Two, ready to start the new term. You’ll receive an email from one of us to say ‘hello’ and introduce ourselves. We look forward to working with you, and meeting any newcomers!
There you have it! Thank you Emma and Callum for providing such informative answers. If there’s anything else you’d like to know about the new PL service, please feel free to get in touch with email@example.com in the meantime. Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled for more info in the coming weeks!
