At My Online Schooling we recognise the importance of the the ‘whole child’ when it comes to education. We do our upmost to ensure that all our pupils are happy, feel valued and have a sense of achievement in everything that they do.

We understand that sometimes, young people experience difficult times in their life for a number of reasons which can affect their happiness.

Counselling lets young people talk about how they feel, separate from school and home life and can help them get back to enjoying life.

What is young people’s online counselling?

Young people’s counselling is for any young person who’s having problems. Whether it’s depression and mental health concerns or social or emotional issues, talking to a counsellor can help.

There is no right or wrong reason to why someone may consider counselling. Sometimes it’s just good to talk to someone, other times more guidance may be needed. Common child-related issues that can be managed with the support of a counsellor include:

  • bullying
  • learning difficulties
  • behavioural problems
  • depression and anxiety
  • bereavement/loss
  • attachment disorder
  • separation anxiety

What can I expect from online counselling?

We offer hour-long sessions with one of our experienced child counsellors. The sessions are delivered through our virtual classroom and your child will be able to speak with the counsellor face-to-face from the comport and safety of their own home.

What is said is totally confidential, unless the counsellor is worried about the child’s safety.

What is the cost?

The cost for each hour-long session is £35. There will be a free 30 minute session before getting started which will allow your child to get to know the counsellor and to discuss the objectives of the future sessions.
